Project Design

We have had many years experience in helping clients make the most of what is often the greatest waste of space in their home and have encountered most situations that might arise.

We have designed many different types of loft conversion, from single bedrooms to house an extra person to multiple rooms, often including a further bathroom.

The planning and build goes through many processes which can all be handled by space design consultants to enable your dreams to be realised without the worry.

Feasibility Study

At the first meeting your proposals will be fully discussed and we would normally expect to be able to answer most, if not all, of your questions. Usually clients want design advice, opinions on the likelihood of gaining Planning Permission and meeting the Building Regulations. Often we are asked about the potential building costs and in most cases our experience will allow us to provide a reasonably accurate estimate of the work involved and the cost. If we need to do further research on any particular aspect we shall do so. If you are interested in progressing you will be asked to complete the client brief that will ultimately form our agreement. Depending on the circumstances this could be done there and then or you may wish to send it on later.

Surveyor site visit

On receipt of your brief and our acceptance thereof, we would normally arrange for our surveyor to visit. He will take measurements, digital pictures, levels, survey the services etc.

Drawing of plans and Planning Applications

On receipt of the necessary information we would draw up the existing structures and land as necessary and prepare a draft plan of the proposed scheme. This would then be sent to you for comment and once the scheme has been agreed we shall complete all the necessary documentation and submit the paperwork to the Local Authority. We follow up progress as necessary until a decision has been made on the Application. When approved we send the Decision Notice on to you.

Preparing Building regulation Construction and Engineering Drawings

Thereafter we are normally instructed to prepare the Building Regulation Notes, drawings and Engineer’s details. These are then sent to you for your and Local Authority approval. Once passed, we send you the Approval Notice.

Then begins the actual build process....


Onsite Advice is available throughout the build to ensure our customers are kept informed - This ensures the build process goes smoothly and the customer is happy with the work undertaken.
